“Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet,
summoning the Abiezrites to follow him”
- Judges 6:34 -
Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress when the Midianites had invaded the Israelites. He was a man who wanted to hide and save his own life. But when the Spirit of God came upon him, he blew the trumpet in front of the Midianite army! He stood up and blew the trumpet of faith! He boldly blew his trumpet instead of running away from the enemies!
If our Father had not given us the Holy Spirit, we would not have been able to come together as GCMI. We then all may have been worrying about life itself because of the Corona Pandemic. But we are grateful that our Father has given us the Holy Spirit, united us, and blown the trumpet of faith without fear in the battlefield of the corona virus. Thank God for letting us blow the trumpet together in order to share God's love through the relief fund from all of the CMI families.
When Gideon trumpeted, the people gathered with a holy fear. God gave them a great victory when 300 warriors blew their trumpets together. I believe that all the CMI missionaries that are scattered, will gather as one body and blow the trumpet of faith and love together! God seems to be doing something new that we have not known before. It looks like the Lord will accomplish a great victory through us. We look forward to the miracles and victories that our Father may soon reveal to us, and today we will again be able to blow the trumpet of prayer. Amen!
