“But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”

Jude was written by the Lord's brother. There were heretical teachings claiming that being saved means that you have a license to sin. Jude warns us about such teachings sternly with historical examples. Today we also see false teachers who deceived believers and destroyed the purity of the authentic faith. In these last days, we will see even more false teachers (Mk 13:5-6). We need Jude’s spirit to contend for the sake of the gospel and defend its truth.

For this reason, we need to build ourselves up in the most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. We then will be effective in doing His will in our time.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your calling in these last days. Help us to be built up in the most holy faith so that we can shine your light in this dark world.
