“Jesus asked, ‘Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?’ Then he said to him, ‘Rise and go; your faith has made you well.’”

Our text shows us that we receive God's great grace, but still live in ungratefulness. Ten lepers obeyed Jesus and received miraculous healing (14). Yet, nine of them failed to come to Jesus to give thanks. The one who who returned and thanked Jesus was a Samaritan. In thanking Jesus, he receives another blessing: “Rise and go; your faith has made you well” (19). How do you receive the gift of God's grace? Do you realize the riches of grace that God has generously poured out into your life? Do you daily take the time to say “thank you” to God?

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your marvelous grace upon me. Help me to take time daily to give thanks to you, especially in this month of thanksgiving.
