“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
- Ephesians 6:10-11 -

After describing about Christian ethics in various aspects (4:1-6:9), Paul describing our spiritual battle against the devil (6:10-20). We learn three things about our spiritual battle:

Our battle is not against human beings, but against the devil, the powers of the dark world (10-12).

Our preparation for this battle that we should fully arm ourselves ((13-17).

Our method of fighting the battle. It is that we pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests (18-20). After fully arming ourselves, we must be alert and pray.

Jesus our Lord is the best example in fighting the battle through prayer. He prayed early in the morning, in the evening, sometimes the whole night that He set a good example for us. We too can fight the spiritual battle and win it through prayer. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Lord, I aware my spiritual battle today. I arm myself fully and I will have victory through prayer in the Spirit. Amen.
