Mark 6:50-51 (Mark Hong)

"because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed."
- Mark 6:50-51 -

In our text 'Jesus Walks on the Water', we see Jesus do five things; He sends, sees, comes, speaks, and boards. Jesus, who is omniscient, knowing sent them into an adverse situation. He saw their trouble and came to them. His coming took some time as He sent them in the early evening (47), but He came early in the morning (48). It tells us that He sees our all troubles and He comes to us at the right time. When He came and said, 'It is I' (50), we remember the word, 'I AM' in Exodus 3:14. Jesus is God who can still our storms and meets all of our needs. We have nothing to be afraid of as we depend on HIm.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for seeing our troubles and coming to us to rescue us. We thank you for your promise, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
